Ukrainian and foreign volunteers came to Lviv for the international volunteer summit

The third international volunteer summit “INTERACTION OF VOLUNTEERS, MILITARY AND GOVERNMENT = VICTORY” began in Lviv. Military volunteers, representatives of volunteer and veteran organizations, representatives of authorities and state structures gathered to discuss important challenges in the work of volunteers.

The First Deputy Mayor of Lviv Andriy Moskalenko took part in the first discussion panel of the summit. Participants discussed state policy on volunteering, joint efforts and cooperation of authorities “on the ground”, as well as grant opportunities and support for volunteers.

In total, the participants will hold three panel discussions, where they will talk about the daily challenges in the work of volunteers, as well as look for joint solutions that will help facilitate the work of volunteers.

The participants of the volunteer summit are about 200 public and volunteer organizations from all over Ukraine, as well as foreign volunteers from different countries of the world.

We will remind you that Lviv constantly allocates funds for the defense capability and support of the military, which protects Ukraine from the Russian invaders. In accordance with the city’s program of support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the city buys what is urgently needed on the front lines at the request of military brigades and units, or provides subsidies for it. These are drones, cars, walkie-talkies, various specialized technical things. In fact, the city receives several requests for such assistance every day. So this year, 1 billion hryvnias have been earmarked for this program from the city budget, and in general, the city provides 2.1 billion hryvnias for all military support programs this year.
