More than 110 children from three institutions of the region were examined by ophthalmologists from the USA

After the examination, each child was given appropriate glasses as needed.

Team members Timothy Janis, Jackson Hayes, Todd Melisa, Emmy, Laney and Lincoln Pearson, Dawson Prewitt worked in the Lviv region with the appropriate equipment for three days. During visits to the children, some team members transformed into “Batman” and “Captain America”.

The examination of the children was financed by the “Warriors Journey” Charitable Foundation in cooperation with the “New Horizons for Children.Ukraine” BF.

It should be noted that we are talking about orphans and children without parental care, who were evacuated to Lviv region from children’s institutions from other regions of Ukraine due to the war.

“I would like to note that cooperation with the charity fund “New Horizons for Children. Ukraine” began immediately after the full-scale invasion of Russian troops. During this time, the organization helped in the evacuation of children, organized meaningful leisure time for children from Lviv Oblast and internally displaced persons, organized medical examinations by various specialists. In addition, the charitable foundation continues to provide various assistance to institutions where children who were evacuated to our region are located, conduct educational trainings for employees of territorial communities on the topic “Helping children taking into account trauma”, – said the head of the Children’s Service of the Lviv OVA, Volodymyr Lys.
