For the second year in a row, schoolchildren in Ukraine study in conditions of full-scale war. Taking into account the fact that the cycle of winter holidays will start sooner this year, because we celebrate them according to the new calendar – from December 25, students of educational institutions of the Drogobytsk Territorial Community will go on winter vacation. The holiday will last for three weeks – until January 14.
As informed by the head of the education department of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Roman Hrytsai, school administrations can determine the dates of vacations independently, but students cannot have less than 30 calendar days of rest during the academic year – this norm is determined by paragraph 4 of Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine “On Comprehensive General Secondary Education”.
Taking into account the fact that some educational institutions of the community had a short autumn vacation – these educational institutions will add the unused number of vacation days for the winter period.
As for preschool education institutions, they will work as usual. We are talking about all the kindergartens of the city and the regular groups in them. The situation is similar with extracurricular creative institutions – during December-January, creative children of the city will be able to visit them and not take a break from their studies.
In addition, 12,127 students are getting an education in general secondary education institutions of the Drohobych territorial community this academic year.
