The mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, led a delegation of Ukrainian cities to Taiwan to participate in the Smart City Summit & Expo. The delegation included representatives from over 10 Ukrainian cities, such as Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, and others. The main achievement was the agreement on medical cooperation between Lviv and Taiwan.
New digital technologies for hospitals will help increase the efficiency of medical institutions and expand access to quality services in wartime conditions. This step will reduce the workload on staff.
After the visit, agreements were reached on implementing ‘smart’ infrastructure in the field of medicine. Lviv has already received 1.5 million euros out of a 5 million euro grant agreement with Taiwan for projects in this area. A tender is currently open for the reconstruction of a rehabilitation center on Pekarska Street.
The participation of Taiwanese businesses in an investment forum in Lviv was also discussed. In June, 20 Lviv companies will travel there to develop economic cooperation.
