On September 28, a meeting of the Defense Council of the region was held in Lviv OVA. As a result of the meeting, a number of decisions were made
“During the meeting, the reports of the representatives of the law enforcement agencies and our military, in particular the Security Service of Ukraine, the commander of the Western Military Command, were heard, and as a result, it was decided to strengthen certain security measures in order to ensure public safety in the region, especially in the conditions of the beginning of the heating season as an additional risk for strategic objects, including energy infrastructure objects,” said Andrii Godyk, the first deputy head of the Lviv OVA, during a briefing on the results of the Defense Council in the official media center at LOVA.
One of the elements of strengthening security measures is the deployment of additional checkpoints.
“The primary task of the Security Service is to prevent any illegal actions by the enemy or his supporters. In particular, to prevent: committing various kinds of provocations – sabotage, terrorist attacks, etc., destabilization of the social and political situation; penetration of subversive intelligence groups and carrying out sabotage in the region.
Separately, I emphasize that the installation of checkpoints in the region is aimed at strengthening the counterintelligence regime. This is done to increase the safety of the residents of the region on the eve of the heating season and against the background of regular missile and drone attacks,” said Roksolana Yavorska, spokeswoman of the SBU in the Lviv region.
Also, the spokeswoman of the SBU called on the residents and guests of the region to pay attention and, if necessary, notify the law enforcement authorities about persons who take photos or videos of objects of defense or critical infrastructure, identify suspicious things or cars, and possible new neighbors with suspicious behavior.
Also, on certain sections of the highways of the region, in particular on the Lviv ring road, during the “Air alarm” signal during the curfew period, a separate team of the Zahid PMC will carry out limited movement of cargo, large-sized vehicles, motorcycles, scooters – all vehicles that emit a high level of noise.
“We do this so that our defenders of the sky can effectively detect the Shaheds. Please understand the limitations. They will be short-term and on separate sections of roads,” Andriy Godyk noted.
Also, during the briefing, a possible change in curfew time was announced in the near future.
Since the provision of regime issues and security issues is related to daylight hours, this time will be revised as the winter season approaches.
We would like to remind you that currently the curfew in the Lviv region lasts from 00:00 to 05:00.
