In Lviv Oblast, they are planning to create a social rehabilitation center for children who need qualified psychological help as a result of war injuries

The corresponding Memorandum of Cooperation was signed today.

The charity organization BF HOPE UA, the Lviv OVA and the Lviv Regional Council signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. It envisages joint efforts in the direction of solving the problem of mental health of children as a result of the traumas experienced due to war.

In particular, they are planning to create a regional center for social rehabilitation of children in Lviv Region. It will be created through the reorganization of the communal institution of the Lviv Regional Council “Zhuravnensky Building of Supported Living of the Psychoneurological Type”.

Restoration and repair works will be carried out here. The HOPE UA charity organization will attract donors who will finance these works and further activities of the institution.

In particular, the benefactors applied to the grant program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands together with the partner party Health Net TPO.

The work of the Center will be aimed at helping children with post-traumatic stress disorder or war trauma.

“Emphasis on vulnerable categories that cannot afford qualified psychological help on their own: children who survived the occupation, became witnesses or victims of violence, suffered losses of both family members and homes,” HOPE UA said.

The organization already has successful work experience in this direction, because it has been implementing the Hope for Kid project for more than half a year. This is a psychological stabilization and rehabilitation program aimed at helping children.

“We also accept direct appeals from parents or guardians of children. However, the main coordination for sending children to the program is carried out by the Ministry of Social Policy, which already redirects us to the specialized department of social protection in the regions. After that, our psychiatrists and psychotherapists determine whether the child needs this program,” added HOPE UA.

More than 120 children have successfully passed it.

“HOPE.UA’s gratitude for attention to children and their psychological state in the conditions of the great war, as well as projects to support forcibly displaced persons, organization of food for people in a difficult situation in Lviv region, provision of humanitarian aid in the front-line territories and cooperation with socially responsible business . Thank you for another important initiative that we are starting together,” said Maksym Kozytskyi.
