At 10-12 Vynnychenka Street, Lvivelectrotrans repair crews will be replacing a 50-metre section of the emergency track in the direction from the city centre.
The works will last for three days – 10-12 September (Tuesday-Thursday). For the duration of the work, there will be changes in traffic, both public and private. Therefore, the mayor’s office urges drivers of private cars to choose an alternative route, avoiding the place of repair work.
Thus, according to the traffic scheme approved by the Lviv regional patrol police, private vehicles and bus routes will go towards I. Honty Street (to the centre) via Vynnychenka Street near the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
Traffic towards Mytna Square (from the centre) to the work site will be moving as usual in the right lane of Pidvalna Street, but the repair site will need to be bypassed by moving to the oncoming lane.
IMPORTANT! Since trams No. 1 and No. 2 will run from Lychakivska Street to Ruska Street despite the repair site, a manoeuvre into the oncoming lane to bypass the track repair site may cause a traffic jam in this area. Therefore, drivers of private vehicles are urged to choose alternative routes during these three days if possible.
Trams 1, 2, 7 and 9 will run on modified routes during the track repair on 10-12 September:
trams 1 and 2
From the Railway Station, tram No. 1 and from Konovaltsia Street, tram No. 2 will run in the direction of the centre via the following streets: Kyivska, Kotliarevskoho, Vitovskoho, Franko to Mytna Square, and then to their final stops on Pohulyanka (for tram No. 1) and Pasichna Street (for tram No. 2). In the opposite direction, these trams will run along the usual route – Pidvalna Street, Rynok Square, Doroshenko Street, Bandera Street (Chuprynky).
tram number 7
will run from Tatarbunarska Street via Zamarstynivska Street to Torfiana Street. Similarly in the opposite direction.
tram number 9
will run on a shortened route: Railway Station – Soborna Square – Railway Station.
“Appropriate temporary road signs will be installed in front of the work site. We ask drivers of private vehicles and other road users to take into account the change in the traffic pattern, be careful and choose an alternative route,” Lvivelectrotrans said.
As a reminder, in mid-August, Lvivelectrotrans repaired a part of the emergency track section in the direction of the city centre at 10-12 Vynnychenka Street.
