In Lviv, the facade of the architectural monument of national importance on the square was restored. Rynok, 7. The entire complex of restoration and repair works was performed here. In particular, new wooden windows were installed, the sculpture, metal elements of the balcony and the entrance gate were restored.

In addition, the facade was returned to its authentic color. This was reported in the Department of Protection of the Historical Environment of the LMR.

“Before the restoration, the facade of the building was in a state of disrepair. The plaster simply fell off in many places, the bricks were also destroyed. The windows were different. The first floor, which is made of stone, also had a lot of losses. The stone was stratified. Therefore, a rather large volume of work was performed there,” said Liliya Onyshchenko, head of the Department of Historical Environment Protection of the LMR.

As the deputy head of the historical environment protection department, Georgy Korneev, added, during the restoration works in the building, the plaster and decorative elements were strengthened and restored, the brickwork was injected, and the stone elements of the first floor were strengthened and supplemented. The sculpture of the Virgin Mary and the metal elements of the balcony were restored. Installed new wooden windows and balcony blocks, etc.

“And, of course, they paid tribute to historical colorism, albeit in lighter tones,” added Georgy Korneev.

The restoration works, which started last year, were carried out by Spetsrestavratsiya LLC.

The house on the square Rynok, 7 was built in the 17th century, rebuilt in the 19th century. This is the former Kravzivska (Krauzivska), and later the Shembekivska tenement house. Its facade on the level of the second floor in a niche is decorated with the figure of the Mother of God.
