An updated library space was opened in the Velikomostov community

Previously, such spaces were arranged in six libraries of the region.

Today, November 3, a renovated space for children and adults was opened in the public library in the city of Velyki Mosty in Chervonohrad Oblast within the framework of the project of Lviv OVA “Model of a modern library”.

Furniture (tables, racks, chairs), frameless furniture, computer equipment and an interactive panel were purchased for the library, and the premises were renovated.

The opening and consecration of the updated library was attended by Ivan Sobko, the deputy head of the Lviv OVA, Volodymyr Kateryna, the deputy head of the Chervonograd RVA, Yaroslav Royko, the mayor of Velikie Mosty, and the leadership of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of LOVA.

“The Velikomostov community was one of the first to apply for participation in the project. We are very pleased that you supported our initiative. This means that cultural development is important to you. We are convinced that if the community does not have a modern library where educational, cultural, and educational events can be held, Ukrainian culture will decline here. We hope that in the updated library children will find something for themselves and spend their time with benefit”, Ivan Sobko noted.

The Veliko Mostov City Council adds that the library’s innovative model acts as a combination of four spaces: learning, inspiration, events, and a meeting place.

For reference:

the pilot project of the Lviv OVA “Model of a modern library” is implemented in 20 communities of the region with co-financing from the regional budget (2 million UAH) and local budgets (8 million 625 thousand UAH) – in this way, each library receives 100 thousand hryvnias, which it uses together with the community to update the library space. Such spaces have already appeared in the village. Krasne, village Volosyanka, village Chishki, village Yasenivtsi, Mykolaiv and Bibrka.
