The European Archery Championships are taking place in Varazhchyn, Croatia, and Lviv archers are participating. The day before, several of them won medals in team competitions.
According to the Lviv City Council’s Sports Department, Solomiya Hnyp became the European champion among adults, and Dzvenyslava Chernyk became the European champion among juniors. Kostiantyn Vaksman and Oleh Drabik became vice-champions of Europe in the junior competition, losing in the final to Israel. And Svyatoslav Karpenko (juniors) became a bronze medalist in the European Championships in the blocking team.
By the way, the day before, a 16-year-old fencer from Lviv, Anna Maksymenko, won the European Cadet Championships, which are taking place in Naples, Italy, for the first time in her career.
