Three women from Lviv, Alla Belinska, Yuliya Tkach and Oksana Livach, became silver medalists of the European Championship in wrestling, which is being held in Zagreb (Croatia).
In the final fight in the weight category up to 68 kg, Alla Belinska lost 3:10 to the athlete from Bulgaria Yuliana Yaneva. Alla defeated Slovakian Josanna Molnar in the final, and French Coumba Larroque in the semifinals.
Yuliya Tkach, who competes in the weight category up to 59 kg, could not fight against Moldovan Anastasia Nichita in the final match. Probably, Julia withdrew from the final due to illness. Before the final, Yulia defeated the German Sandra Parushevski and the wrestler from Azerbaijan Alyona Kolesnik.
In the final of the category up to 50 kg, Oksana Livach lost 4:9 to Maria Stadnik, a native of the village of Pisochnaya, Lviv region, who has been playing for Azerbaijan for many years. Before that, Oksana defeated the Italian Emanuella Luizzi and the Bulgarian Milena Selishka.
