In Lviv, a fee for anesthesia stations for a children’s hospital has been announced

Every day in the children’s hospital of the NEZLAMNI National Center in Lviv, small Ukrainians who suffered from the war are operated on. And it is the new anesthesia stations that will help to save three times more small patients. The mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, emphasized this, and therefore called to support the project “Christmas miracle for indomitable children”.

“Indomitable children need a Christmas miracle.

Mother Nina with her 9-year-old daughter Sofiyka on the street, in the middle of a residential area of Mykolaiv. A fragment from a cluster projectile passed more than 11 cm through the girl’s entire brain, from the frontal area to the back of the head… In the National Rehabilitation Center of UNBROKEN Ukraine, a team of neurosurgeons removed the projectile fragment from the brain. Now the girl is waiting for a long rehabilitation. Sofiyka speaks little by little, actively trains to continue learning to play a musical instrument and realize her biggest dream — to sing on stage.

Every day at the Children’s Hospital of the NEZLAMNI National Center in Lviv, small Ukrainians who suffered from the war are operated on. New anesthesia stations will help save three times more small patients,” the mayor said in his post on Facebook.

During the war, St. Nicholas Children’s Hospital in Lviv became a place of salvation for hundreds of young Ukrainians affected by the war. Children like Sofiyka are transported by evacuation trains and ambulances. The number of patients has almost tripled. Now the surgeons of the children’s hospital are facing a difficult challenge – the queue of children for operations. Surgeons are forced to operate at night to save all the children. Every day in the hospital 5-7 small patients need operations. And the anesthesia station, which is required for surgical, neurosurgical, and cardiac interventions, is indispensable for long-term anesthesiology.

Today, the hospital has one such station, but at least 3 are needed. This will allow doctors to quickly and simultaneously perform an even greater number of operations, and children will not have to wait for them to be performed and lose precious time.

The cost of one such device is UAH 2.2 million. This will help save 7 small patients every day.
