The Lviv Organ Hall invites you to concerts without lights

In connection with the government’s request to save electricity, the Lviv House of Organ and Chamber Music is moving to a new, energy-efficient level. Until the end of October, all events of the concert hall will be conducted using the minimum amount of electricity on the stage and in the hall.

Recently, Russia has increased missile attacks on Ukraine, hitting critical infrastructure facilities. The enemy is trying to knock Ukrainians out of the normal rhythm of life by cutting off light. This happened at one of the concerts in the Lviv Organ Hall, when the electricity went out before the very beginning. The entire composition of the symphony orchestra played half of the concert for the audience in complete darkness, illuminating their notes with flashlights.

After that, the administration of the concert hall decided to hold concerts “without light”, the first of which was the concert of organist Serhii Pavliv “Bach’s Music”.

“Currently, saving electricity in Ukraine is gaining particular relevance, so the Lviv Organ Hall decided to show an example of public events in energy saving mode. Very few resources are actually needed to put on a classical music concert. Until the end of October, we will work in this mode: dimmed light and the most concentrated atmosphere,” says Taras Demko, co-director of the Organ Hall.

A detailed schedule of events can be found on the website of the Organ Hall, communication platforms Instagram, Facebook and by following the link.
