The “INSO-Lviv” orchestra will perform at the Audi-2022 summer concerts

The theme of the concerts in 2022 was “Vision of the Future”

Symphony Orchestra “INSO-Lviv” of the Lviv National Philharmonic named after M. Skoryka will take part in the Audi summer concerts, which are taking place this year in Ingoldstadt, Germany, from June 30 to July 10.

“In these difficult times, we must jointly imagine what a better future could look like. The Audi Summer Concerts fulfill this cultural mission. Right now, when war threatens our European values, we need art and culture more than ever! Together with outstanding artists from all over Europe, we celebrate the unifying power of classical music. Under the motto “Visions of the Future”, we also dare to do something at almost every concert that allows us to hear and experience classical music in a different way. We give freedom to the next generation of musicians and show how a new coexistence of young talents and great masters can be successful,” invites famous violinist and artistic director of the Audi Summer Concerts Lisa Batiashvili to the concerts.

The event with the participation of the Lviv Orchestra will take place on July 6 and will be called “Solidarity Concert”.

On the biggest stage of the city, “INSO-Lviv” will perform together with violinist Liza Batiashvili and conductor Nikoloz Rachveli. They will perform the music of modern Ukrainian composers (Valentyn Sylvestrov, Victoria Poleva, Myroslav Skoryk, Igor Loboda, Levko Kolodub), the national and spiritual Anthem of Ukraine, as well as the works of Gia Kancheli, Nikolas Rachveli and Antonin Dvorak.

“Music cannot stop a despot who has chosen violence and destruction. But it can unite people and show that there is another language besides arbitrariness, aggression and military destruction: the language of humanity,” the abstract for the concert reads.
