Yesterday, February 16, the opening of an incredible exhibition of the famous Ukrainian artist Orest Bilous – “The World of the Native Land” took place in the Ivan Franko National Literary and Memorial Museum in Lviv (Frank House).
Orest Bilous works equally freely in watercolor, pastel, acrylic and oil painting techniques. First of all, he is a landscape master. The landscape appears in his works as a deeply lyrical, lyrical, and sometimes epic image of his native land.
“The artist’s works attract the eye with their harmonious dignity and something especially poignantly subtle, which can mean a touch of art that is genuine in its worldview truthfulness. Figurative artistic visions do not impress with special pathos, but each work is created with genuine affection for the area he paints, in each there is a feeling: this is my land, my Ukraine, this is my legend about it…” – noted in the House of Franko.
Also, the day before, the artist celebrated his 80th birthday, so congratulations, words of thanks and wishes for success in his work from friends, colleagues in the shop, and art critics rang out loudly at the exhibition.
