LKP “Lvivavtodor”, which is responsible for the implementation of LeoCards, has prepared detailed explanations for the residents of the Lviv community regarding the issues that most often arise when using preferential personalized cards.
Can I transfer my personalized (discounted) LeoKart transport card to another passenger?
No you can not. Personalized cards used by beneficiaries are issued to them on the basis of documents confirming their right to free travel in Lviv public transport. That is why the photo and name of the person identified as the owner of this card are indicated on the card.
During control at the line, not only the presence of LeoCards will be checked, but also the coincidence of the person in the photo and the person who presents this card for control. Accordingly, if the fact of non-compliance is recorded, the passenger will be fined for traveling without a ticket, and the transport card itself will be blocked.
· If I lost my card, is it used by the person who found it?
If the passenger realizes that he has lost his card, he should immediately call the hotline number – 0800 303 007 to report this. This card will be temporarily blocked, which will make it impossible for third-party passengers to use it, and the passenger will be able to apply for a reissue of a discounted LeoCard.
· If I am a beneficiary and already have a card, do I need to validate it or is it enough to just have it with me?
LKP “Lvivavtodor” emphasizes that all passengers who already have LeoKart cards must validate them when using public transport. If the resident is waiting for his transport, it is worth preparing a LeoKart card in advance so that he can conveniently validate it as soon as he enters the interior of the bus, tram or trolleybus. Now the controllers of LKP “Lvivavtodor” are already checking the validation of the pass, but so far they are only emphasizing the importance of validation. But soon a full validation check will begin, and an unvalidated ride will be equivalent to a ticketless ride, which entails a fine.
