The illegal scheme was exposed by operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in Lviv Oblast and investigators of the Oblast Police.
The head of the public organization was rewarded for assisting in entering the necessary information into the database. As a result, men of military age were given the opportunity to cross the border without real reason.
Today, June 8, police detained a man while receiving $ 500 in illegal benefits. Earlier, it was documented that he received $ 200 as the first part of a bribe.
The head of the NGO was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Currently, the issue of declaring him a suspect under Part 4 of Art. 368-3 (bribery of an official of a legal entity of private law, regardless of organizational and legal form) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of 3 to 8 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to 3 years, with confiscation of property.
The investigation is underway under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
