Under the procedural leadership of the Galician District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv, a 25-year-old native of the Vinnytsia region was notified of suspicion of fraud (Part 3, Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspect, who is currently serving a prison sentence in one of the pre-trial detention centers of the Lviv region, set up a fraudulent scheme.
The man created fake accounts on the social network “Facebook”, where, for the purpose of his own enrichment, he published false messages about fundraising, in particular for the treatment of a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the purchase of an ambulance. He attached his bank card number to them.
He appropriated the money transferred to him.
Investigations are ongoing.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the GU NP in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
