A passenger in a passenger car died in a car collision in the Lviv district – the police are investigating the circumstances
The traffic accident happened today, December 24, around 07:00, on the Ternopil-Lviv highway near the village of Pidberiztsi, Lviv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, there was a collision between the “Seat Ibiza” driven by a 58-year-old man and the “Ford Fusion” driven by a 29-year-old woman.
As a result of the accident, the passenger of the Seat Ibiza car, a 57-year-old woman, received injuries from which she died at the scene. The drivers of vehicles were injured and hospitalized. According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it. Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
