A man from the Chervonograd district will be tried for polluting the land with animal remains

The Chervonograd District Prosecutor’s Office sent an indictment to the court against a 26-year-old man for the fact of land pollution (Part 1 of Article 239 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in one of the villages of the Chervonograd district, near the local forest, the accused dumped remains of animal origin. As a result of these actions, agricultural land was polluted. Therefore, a danger to the environment has been created.

However, the man voluntarily removed the damage. The latter disposed of remains of animal origin, in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of VP No. 2 of the Chervonograd RVP of the GUNP in the Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
