Prosecutors of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv filed an indictment against a 47-year-old local resident for theft (Part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, during March-April, the accused helped to unload and load humanitarian aid at one of the warehouses in Lviv, where he stole 7 tablets received for transfer to the Armed Forces.
The total value of the stolen item is over UAH 100,000.
During the searches, the stolen equipment was found and confiscated from the defendant.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was carried out by investigators of VP №1 of the Lviv District Police Department №2 of the GU NP in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and may not be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proved in a lawful manner and established by a court conviction.
