The offender was detained at the Shegin checkpoint in Lviv region. During the check-in of a regular bus coming from Poland, the border guards discovered a Georgian citizen who was wanted.
During the passport control, a 52-year-old man, who was traveling as a passenger, was activated in the database regarding his search by law enforcement agencies.
It turned out that the citizen was wanted by the National Police of the Ivano-Frankivsk region as part of criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 15 “Attempt to commit a crime” and Part 3 of Art. 185 “Theft” KKU.
It was established that the man got to Poland in the fall of this year and managed to cross the border before the search for him by law enforcement officers began.
So far, the border guards have informed the initiator of the orders and handed over the wanted citizen to the competent authorities.
