Over the weekend, three people, two of them minors, were electrocuted in Lviv Oblast

The dead are a nine-year-old girl and a twelve-year-old boy, as well as a 20-year-old boy.

As previously determined by the employees of the Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2, on Saturday, June 24, at around 2:40 p.m. in one of the villages of the Bibra territorial community, a 9-year-old girl, a local resident, touched a power line wire that had been cut off by a storm and was lying on the ground. and received an electric shock, as a result of which she died at the scene.

According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under clause 2 of part 2 of article 115 (Deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and part 2 of article 367 (Official negligence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A pre-trial investigation is being conducted, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.

The next day, June 25, around 9:00 p.m., a 12-year-old boy from the Volyn region, who had come to visit his relatives for the holidays, was electrocuted at the fire reservoir in the village of Malekhiv.

As the employees of police department No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 1 previously established, while fishing, the schoolboy caught the wire of the power line while casting a fishing rod, was electrocuted and died.

On the same day, around nine o’clock in the morning, the body of a 20-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Yavoriv District was found on the roof of a locomotive on Tallinnska Street in Lviv, without signs of life and with signs of electric shock.

Based on these facts, the investigators of the territorial units of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with the note “Accident”.

Investigations are being conducted, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the events.
