Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the lawyer was exposed and informed of the suspicion. He is accused of receiving an unlawful benefit for influencing decision-making by persons authorized to perform state functions (Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the lawyer assured the suspect, who according to the court’s decision is now in the pre-trial detention center, that he has an influence on the law enforcement officers.
And what for a monetary reward can solve the issue of changing his preventive measure to a milder one.
The price of such a service is 4,175 USD.
The suspect was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine during the receipt of an unlawful benefit.
Investigations are ongoing.
The issue of selecting a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved.
Pretrial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by investigators of the Investigative Department of the Main Department of the National Police of the region under the operational support of the SBU Department in Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
