As of July 1, 15,590 people in the Lviv region receive monthly insurance payments. Informing in the management of the executive directorate of the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine in the Lviv region.
Among them: 14,917 victims of work-related injuries and occupational diseases, 673 victims’ family members entitled to insurance compensation. Out of this number of beneficiaries, 121 victims are internally displaced persons who continue to receive insurance benefits in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.
In total, 11,744 (or 78.7%) persons with a loss of working capacity are registered in the management departments of the Fund’s executive directorate in the Lviv region. Among them: 100 persons with disabilities of the 1st group, 590 persons of the 2nd group, 11,054 persons of the 3rd group.
In the first half of 2022, compared to last year, the costs of insurance payments increased by UAH 78.9 million, or by 14.2%, and amounted to UAH 635 million, namely:
– monthly insurance payments to victims – UAH 608.8 million (specific weight of expenses – 95.9%);
– monthly insurance payments to persons in the event of the victim’s death – UAH 15.6 million (2.4%);
– one-time assistance to the victim – UAH 4.4 million (0.7%);
– one-time assistance in case of death of the victim – UAH 1.7 million (0.3%);
– temporary incapacity benefit related to an accident at work or an occupational disease – UAH 4.5 million (0.7 percent).
The largest amount of insurance payments for the first half of 2022 was paid in the following departments:
– Chervonogradskyi – 75.9% (10,627 people);
– Sokalskyi – 13.9% (1,839 people);
– Lviv – 3.6% (1,022 people);
– Drohobytskyi – 0.9% (298 people).
As of July 1, 14,917 people (including 10,746 miners) in the Lviv region receive a monthly sum of money in the event of partial or total disability, which compensates for the corresponding part of the lost earnings, which is 88 less than as of 07/01/2021. The amount of expenses for the mentioned payments for the first half of 2022 is UAH 608.8 million, which is UAH 83.4 million or 15.9% more than in the same period of 2021.
The average monthly insurance payment per victim is UAH 6,802.6, which is UAH 966.3, or 16.5% more than in the first half of 2021. It should be noted that the average amount of the monthly insurance payment for 1 injured miner is UAH 8,022.7, which is UAH 1,119.0, or 16.2% more than in the first half of 2021.
The number of recipients of monthly insurance payments to persons entitled to this in case of loss of a breadwinner decreased by 51 compared to last year and amounts to 673 persons. The amount of expenses for monthly insurance payments to dependents for the reporting period amounted to UAH 15.6 million, which is UAH 1 million or 6.8% more compared to the previous period.
The average monthly insurance payment per dependent is UAH 3,865.2, which is UAH 511.8 (15.2%) more than in the corresponding period of 2021.
From March 1, 2022, the amounts of monthly insurance payments to victims at work and persons entitled to monthly insurance payments in the event of the victim’s death were recalculated by a factor of 1.14. Insurance payments were transferred to 15,604 victims and their family members, as a result of which monthly insurance compensation payments increased by 14%, and the total amount of funds to ensure monthly payments increased by 13.5 million hryvnias.
In the first half of 2022, 278 victims were given one-time assistance in the event of permanent loss of professional capacity, which is 139 less than in the corresponding period of 2021. The total amount of the assigned payments amounted to 4.6 million hryvnias.
During the reporting period, one-time assistance in the event of the victim’s death was assigned to 6 families in the total amount of UAH 1.3 million (in 2021 – to 11 families). One-time assistance is assigned to 9 dependents in the total amount of 402.5 thousand hryvnias. Compared to the corresponding period last year, their number increased by 2 persons.
Temporary disability benefits were granted to 416 people for 1,108 sick days for 11,878 days, including 119 doctors for 186 sick days for 1,911 days. Expenses for compensation for temporary incapacity for work as a result of an accident at work or occupational disease decreased by 28%. The average amount of temporary disability benefits is 14.6 thousand hryvnias, for a medical worker who contracted an occupational disease due to infection with COVID-19, it is 6.6 thousand hryvnias.
Reimbursement of the cost of the victim’s burial and related ritual services was made by 1 family in the amount of 2,000 hryvnias.
