Lviv Region: Leaders in Personal Income Tax Payments
The manufacturing and trade sectors remain the region’s leaders in contributing to the budget through personal income tax. This was reported by the director of the financial department of the regional state administration, Oleh Demkiv.
Key Tax Payment Indicators
In January-February, manufacturing sector payers contributed 695 million UAH in taxes to the budget, while trade sector payers contributed 652 million UAH. The combined share of these two sectors accounts for nearly a third of total personal income tax revenues.
The two mentioned sectors also ensured a significant increase in the volume of paid taxes compared to the same period last year:
- trade – by 40 percent,
- manufacturing – by 33 percent (overall revenue in the region increased by 27 percent).
Even greater growth was achieved in the sectors of “Information and Telecommunications” (62%), “Mining Industry” (50%), and “Construction” (48%).
Changes in Sector Shares
In terms of share of total tax revenues, the “Trade” sector experienced the highest growth (by 1.4 percentage points), and the greatest decline was in the “Public Administration” sector (by 1.1 percentage points).
