In Lviv Oblast, 95% of students study in full-time or mixed schools

In the region, 95% of general and secondary education institutions have started training in an offline or mixed format. Only 47 institutions out of 1118 study remotely.

This was discussed today, September 6, during the meeting of the Commission on Education, Science and Innovation of the Lviv Regional Council.

“The entire education system of Lviv Oblast prepared for the beginning of the school year very carefully in the conditions of the war. Now we are recording a high turnout of students in schools and institutions of vocational education and training, despite the fact that parents were a little worried, 90-95% of schoolchildren started full-time studies,” said Oleg Paska, director of the Department of Education and Science of OVA.

According to him, a great deal of work has also been done in the region on the arrangement of shelters, arrangement where they are, where they were not, the administration concluded agreements on the use of nearby ones.

As for internally displaced persons, there are more than 72,000 IDP children in Lviv Oblast. About 7,000 such children went to study in local schools, but most decided to study remotely in the schools where they studied, with their teachers and students.
