On the eve of the new school year, city schools are being inspected for comfort and safety. First, specially created monitoring groups inspected educational institutions, and then Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi visited the schools.
By order of the mayor of Lviv, 12 monitoring groups (2 per district) were formed, which inspected all schools in the Lviv community last week. Officials checked whether the schools were ready for the school year, whether the shelters were in good condition, whether CCTV cameras were working, whether the institution had alternative sources of electricity, internet or heating. The monitoring teams also inspected the buildings themselves, the facades, roofs, and the entrance area. An important part of the inspection was also the condition of the school inside, whether the classrooms were equipped with everything necessary for learning.
After the inspection, the monitoring teams gave recommendations to the management of each school with a list of things that needed to be fixed or eliminated.
Today, the Mayor of Lviv visited Vasyl Symonenko Lyceum. Andriy Sadovyi thanked the staff for the quality of their preparation for the school and made a few minor comments that are to be corrected by the end of this week.
