On August 30, the solemn opening of the reconstructed premises of the local gymnasium took place in the village of Soroky-Lvivski. More than 100 children from Sorok-Lvivskyi, Lviv and the Murovan community in general will study here.
The reconstruction of the gymnasium began in 2021. The total cost of the object is more than 13 million hryvnias. Financing was provided by regional (3 million) and local budgets (10 million).
With these funds, additional rooms were built and an attic floor was installed in the gymnasium. This helped increase the number of classrooms (5 classrooms on the first floor; 4 classrooms on the attic). In addition, the institution replaced the roof, insulated the facade, installed a modular boiler room, connected engineering networks, carried out internal decoration of classrooms, equipped a buffet, and ensured the improvement of the territory.
“The war, which was caused by Russia on Ukrainian soil, takes away from our children a peaceful and happy childhood. The defenders at the front are doing everything they can to restore peace to Ukraine, and we are infinitely grateful to them for this. Many Ukrainian schoolchildren have a father or mother at the front. I think it is important for them to know that their children, their education and peaceful leisure are taken care of. Without educated youth, it is impossible to build a new society, so we are making every effort to give children a decent education,” said the head of Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi.
100 children will study in the gymnasium, because additional student places have been made here. At the same time, six additional jobs were created at the institution. In total, the teaching staff consists of 17 teachers.
For reference:

Soroky-Lviv secondary school was built more than 120 years ago. With a projected capacity of 45 student places, the school actually had 90-95 children. Training took place in two shifts, the training conditions also needed improvement (there was no cafeteria).
