Today is sadly marked by mourning for the city of Stebnyk, as 27-year-old Andriy Netrunenko, who bravely defended Ukraine on the front lines, gave his life in the fight against the enemy. The life of the courageous warrior was cut short on February 5 at the Pokrovsky direction, despite his previous concussion and subsequent rehabilitation, which he endured steadfastly and returned to combat positions in the 11th separate motorized infantry battalion ‘Kyivska Rus’.
On February 10, townspeople will have the opportunity to say goodbye to Andriy. The mourning procession with his body will start at 13:00 at the Heroes’ crossroad, and at 13:30 a communal farewell ceremony will take place at Shevchenko Square. The day will conclude with a funeral rite at the Church of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin and burial at the cemetery on Mekelyty Street.
This painful day will unite the warrior’s family – his parents, older sister, as well as close friends, fellow soldiers, and the entire community of Stebnyk, who will remember Andriy as a bright and kind angel who gave his life for our freedom.
