16-year-old Lvivian Yulia Krot won silver at the European Karate Championship

On February 5, the final matches of the European Karate Championship among cadets, juniors and youth took place.

16-year-old Yulia Krot, who competed in the weight category over 66 kg among juniors, narrowly lost to the Italian with a score of 0:1 in the gold final. In this way, the woman from Lviv became the vice-champion of Europe in kumite. The athlete is trained by Denis Kopytko and Anton Nikulin.

Another Lviv native, 15-year-old Maksym Stetsiv, who competed in the 52 kg weight category among cadets, lost to an athlete from the Czech Republic in the bronze final with a score of 0:1. Therefore, he finished the competition in fifth place. He is coached by Ilya Nikulin and Vitaly Kulba.

In total, 6 athletes from Lviv Oblast competed as part of the national team.
