The mayor of Pokrovsk and his deputy visited the Sokal community today

Together with Mayor Serhiy Kasyan and Head of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports Lesia Kovalishyn, they visited residents of their community – the town of Pokrovsk and surrounding villages, which were evacuated from the war zone and temporarily settled in educational institutions of Sokal community.

People thanked our community, villagers for the warm welcome, for help with food. The communities of Volytsia, Potorytsia, and Tartakov help everyone they can: people bring warm clothes, blankets, food, beds, mattresses, and bedding so that internally displaced persons have the most necessary living conditions.

Pokrovska Mayor Ruslan Trebushkin told the residents of his community about the current situation in the region. He thanked the mayor and our compatriots for the warm welcome and hospitality. Most people cried, because no matter how good it was to visit – at home is best.

As a sign of gratitude for the warm welcome, for food, people also do not sit idle: they dug flower beds in Potorytsia near the garden, planted flowers, took part in the village crowd.

Employees of the Potorytsya kindergarten baked fragrant Easter cakes, decorated Easter eggs – they prepare Easter baskets for people who live here.

There are 37 IDPs in Volytsky Kindergarten, including 19 children and 3 elderly people. During the stay they were involved in the improvement of the kindergarten, clean the premises, help with cooking. 4 women work at the Soteko greenhouse plant.

Ukrainians from the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region are temporarily displaced in Tartakivskyi NVK. Currently there are 33. The oldest is 90 years old, the youngest is 3 years old. A volunteer psychotherapist from Kyiv works on a volunteer basis. Everyone is optimistic. Participate in the cleaning of Shevchenko Park and the park near the palace, the school grounds, help in the kitchen.

Seniors read, embroider a towel, which they intend to leave in our NVK. They take care of their temporary housing. They go to Sunday services. Sanctified Willow.
