The fire and rescue department of the city of Stryi and the operative group of the Stryi district administration were sent to the scene of the incident.
The rescuers used a hand tool, the “Gelligan’s crowbar”, to open the door and provide access to the police officers to the apartment. The owner’s body was found in the apartment without signs of life.

The rescuers, using a retractable ladder through the window, provided access to the apartment for police officers and medics. Medics examined and provided medical assistance to the elderly woman. After the examination, the grandmother refused hospitalization.
