A special symphony concert will be held in the Lviv Organ Hall on February 3: Japanese conductor Takuya Shigeshita and the Luhansk Regional Philharmonic Academic Symphony Orchestra will perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s legendary Fifth Symphony.
Symphony No. 5 is an undeniable masterpiece that impresses with its emotionality, drama and is a testament to the indomitability of the human spirit. This piece is about triumph, about every hard-won victory that ever was or ever will be.
In the Lviv Organ Hall, you will be able to hear the interpretation of this work performed by a conductor from Japan, who will come to Ukraine during the war for this performance.
Takuya Shigeshita (Takuya Shigeshita) was born in Tokyo, studied at Kunitachi College of Music, where he received a bachelor’s degree. He has more than 25 years of conducting experience. In 2023, the Japanese conductor came to Ukraine, where he gave, in particular, a concert with the Luhansk Philharmonic Orchestra in the Lviv Organ Hall, performing Antonin Dvořák – Antonin Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 in G major and Mykhailo Verbytskyi’s Symphony No. 10.
