A 27-year-old man was found guilty of premeditated murder (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) following a public indictment by the prosecutors of the Pustomytov District Prosecutor’s Office. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison.
Prosecutors proved in court that last August, in one of the villages of the Lviv district, the convict lived with his 43-year-old roommate. They often drank alcoholic beverages.
During another feast, a verbal altercation arose between the roommates on the grounds of jealousy. During the dispute, the man began to beat the victim with his fists, inflicting more than 100 blows on the woman’s head and body. The latter died on the spot from her injuries.
