Fires in Lviv Region Endanger Lives and Property
Within a day, 108 fires were recorded in the ecosystems of the Lviv region. The fire threatened homes, and people, risking their lives, attempted to stop it on their own.
Fire Incidents
- Budkiv, Lviv District – 7,000 sq.m of dry grass. Strong winds spread the fire, posing a threat to homes. Local residents tried to extinguish the blaze themselves, but firefighters eventually controlled the fire. Six buildings were saved.
- Nyzhnya Bilka, Lviv District – 300 sq.m of dry grass. A woman, born in 1956, tried to extinguish the fire herself and suffered facial burns and shock.
