The traffic accident happened on March 27, around 10:40 a.m., on the “Western Bypass of the City of Lviv” highway near the village of Sokilnyky, Lviv District.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the rear wheel flew off the Mercedes-Benz Atego 1518L truck, which was driven by a 31-year-old man from Lviv, while driving and hit the Renault C truck driven by a 57-year-old resident of Kyiv region and the Mercedes minibus -Benz Sprinter 319 CDI”, driven by a 20-year-old resident of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
As a result of the accident, two passengers of the minibus were injured and taken to the hospital: an 18-year-old girl and a 27-year-old man, both residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 3 of Lviv district police department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
