Under the procedural supervision of the Drohobych District Prosecutor’s Office, a 41-year-old man was served a notice of suspicion of premeditated murder (Part 1 Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, in June this year, a local resident killed his friend in his apartment in Truskavets.
That evening, an acquaintance came to the suspect’s house to drink alcohol together. During the meal, a conflict arose between the men, which escalated into a fight. During the fight, the suspect began to punch and kick the victim numerous times. The victim died on the spot from his injuries.
After the beating, the defendant went to bed and only the next day, in the morning, went to the police and reported the death of his friend.
At the request of the prosecutor, the suspect was chosen as a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
The investigation is ongoing.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Special Investigation Department of the Drohobych District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
