The court upheld the claims of the Zhovkva District Prosecutor’s Office in Lviv region to confiscate land from four Russian citizens in favor of the state.
The land in question is 3 plots of agricultural land located on the territory of three territorial communities in Lviv district. Their total area is almost 2 hectares.
Prosecutors established that the Russian citizens inherited the agricultural land. Ignoring the requirements of the land legislation of Ukraine, they failed to alienate the land within a year.
This became the basis for prosecutors to go to court to prevent illegal possession of Ukrainian land.
