The traffic accident happened on November 15, around 4:50 p.m., on the highway “Nizhankovichi-Sambir-Drohobych-Stry” between the villages of Mala Ozymina and Velika Ozymina of the Sambir district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the Volkswagen Passat, a 36-year-old resident of Drohobych, lost control, drove onto the opposite side of the road, drove into a ditch, where the car overturned.
As a result of the injuries received in the accident, the driver died at the scene, and the passenger of the passenger car, a man aged 50-60 years, whose identity is being established, received bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
