Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Zhovkiv district prosecutor’s office, a 45-year-old man was charged with robbery and theft (part 4 of article 187, part 4 of article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, in April this year in Rava-Ruska, the suspect committed a robbery attack on a 75-year-old local resident.
It was established that the man rented housing from a pensioner. However, after he once again came to the house drunk, the woman chased him away.
The extra person left the hostess’s yard, but after some time returned to find out the relationship. He entered the victim’s kitchen and attacked her, punching her on the head several times. As a result of her injuries, the elderly woman fell to the floor and fainted.
After that, the suspect took away her gold wedding ring and earrings from the jewelry store.
Relatives found the victim unconscious only the next day.
The suspect did not stop there, and the next day he accessed Internet banking through the phone of a local resident and transferred about UAH 10,000 to his bank account.
Currently, the suspect has been remanded in custody.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of police department No. 2 of Lviv district police department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
