Law enforcement officers took part in memorial services in memory of the fallen police ensign Ihor Lekhminko and police junior sergeant Vladyslav Domchenko.
The soldiers of the Lviv Special Police Patrol Battalion of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Lviv Region went to the ATO zone nine years ago, on 13 February 2015, while performing a combat mission in Debaltseve, Donetsk Region, they came under artillery fire and were killed.
For their personal courage and heroism in the defence of Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity, loyalty to the military oath during the Russian-Ukrainian war, police warrant officer Ihor Lekhminko and police junior sergeant Vladyslav Domchenko were awarded the Order “For Courage”, III class (posthumously).
Ihor Lekhminko, a native of Yavoriv district, was 41 years old, and Vladyslav Domchenko, a resident of Lviv, was 38.
