In Lviv, the police detained an intruder who stabbed an acquaintance
The detainee, a 38-year-old man from Lviv, faces up to eight years in prison for the crime.
On June 17, around 2 p.m., the police received a report from medics that a resident of one of the apartments on Krupyarska Street in Lviv had been stabbed.
The investigative and operative group and other employees of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 worked at the scene of the incident. The police established the identity of the victim, the 41-year-old owner of the apartment. He was hospitalized.
It was also established that guests came to the victim that day. While drinking alcoholic beverages, he had a conflict with one of the guests, during which the intruder, a 38-year-old man from Lviv, stabbed him in the abdomen with a knife.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.
The perpetrator was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and soon the court will choose a preventive measure for him.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
