Prosecutors of the Zolochiv District Prosecutor’s Office have registered criminal proceedings over violation of the rules of water (water bodies) protection (Part 1 of Article 242 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to preliminary information, one of the local enterprises dumps hazardous waste into the river. This resulted in water pollution, which led to the death of fish and aquatic bioresources.
Prosecutors and police investigators are taking all appropriate measures to document the crime.
The issue of appointing a number of examinations is being decided.
The pre-trial investigation will be carried out by investigators of the Zolochiv District Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
