Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Pustomytov District Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment was sent to the court against a 40-year-old local resident for evading the draft for military service during mobilization (Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the man, being conscripted and notified in accordance with the procedure established by law about the need to arrive under conditions of general mobilization to the territorial center of recruitment and social support, neglected the requirement of the current legislation.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Criminal Investigation Department No. 1 of the Lviv RUP No. 2 of the Provincial Government of the Lviv Region.
The accused faces up to five years in prison for the above.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
