In Chervonohrad, the police quickly exposed the perpetrators on suspicion of stealing property from a serviceman

The policemen remind that in the conditions of martial law, maximum punishments are provided for committing theft, robbery, robbery, extortion, as well as for misappropriation, waste of property or taking possession of it by abuse of official position.

As determined by the employees of the Chervonograd District Police Department, on the night of July 3, on Shukhevycha Street in the district center, attackers broke the glass and stole two bulletproof vests, two helmets and two bulletproof vests, two helmets and two military bags, after which they fled.

Detectives of the criminal police, response crews of the patrol police and investigators of the territorial division of the police were involved in the search for the thieves. Through the conducted measures, with the help of video surveillance cameras located as part of the “Safe Lviv Region” program, the law enforcement officers established that two local residents, aged 18 and 15, were involved in the theft. Physical evidence was taken from them.

Investigators of the Chervonohrad district police department informed the senior of the attackers that they are suspected of committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 185 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is up to eight years of imprisonment.

The suspect, involved in other similar crimes committed in Chervonohrad, detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, the court will soon choose a preventive measure for him.

As for the youngest of the perpetrators, a minor, the issue of bringing him to justice is being resolved.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
