The traffic accident happened today, September 29, around 2:30 p.m., on the highway “Kyiv – Chop” in the village of Tuholka, Stryi district
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER car, a 50-year-old resident of Lviv, moving in the direction of the city of Chop, drove into the oncoming traffic lane, where he collided with the RENAULT PREMIUM car train, driven by a 43-year-old resident of the Rivne region, which was moving in the opposite direction.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the passenger car died at the scene from his injuries. In addition, the passenger of the MITSUBISHI, a 45-year-old man from Lviv, was injured and taken to the hospital.
Investigators from the Transport Crime Investigation Department of the Lviv Oblast Police and Police Department No. 3 of the Stryi District Police Department are working at the scene. The question of the legal qualification of the event is being resolved.
