In Lviv, the police detained two criminals on suspicion of brazenly robbing a passerby
We remind you that in the conditions of martial law, maximum punishments are provided for committing theft, robbery, robbery, extortion, as well as for misappropriation, waste of property or possession of it by abuse of official position.
As the law enforcement officers established, on July 25 at around 6:30 p.m. on Chervonaya Kalyna Avenue in Lviv, two criminals attacked a passerby, a 42-year-old man from Lviv, injured him, took his mobile phone, and then fled.
Detectives of the criminal police and investigators of police department No. 2 of the Lviv district police department No. 2, as well as operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department and employees of the Criminal Analysis Department of the Lviv region police were involved in solving the crime.
The law enforcement officers carried out a complex of operational and search measures, studied the recordings of video surveillance cameras located within the framework of the “Safe Lviv Region” program, established the location of the attackers and promptly detained them in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
They turned out to be two Lviv residents aged 38 and 41, who had previously been held criminally liable for committing property crimes.
The issue of notifying perpetrators of suspicion of a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 186 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being resolved. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of seven to ten years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
