As the law enforcement officers established, a 42-year-old resident of the city of Kramatorsk, who temporarily lives in our city, “specialized” in the distribution of the psychotropic substance “PVP” by making “bookmarks”.
The perpetrator was exposed by operatives of the Department of Combating Narcotic Crime of the Lviv Oblast Police together with investigators of Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1, under the procedural guidance of the Galicia District Prosecutor’s Office.
On June 20, the police detained a distributor in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine on Grinchenko Street in Lviv. With her, she had bundles with a substance, outwardly similar to the psychotropic drug “PVP”, with a total weight of about 25 grams.
Later, during an urgent search of the apartment of the detained, law enforcement officers discovered and seized electronic scales, packing tools and other material evidence. Everything removed is directed to expert research.
The issue of notification of the perpetrator on suspicion of committing a criminal offense, provided for in Part 1 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, is being resolved. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of four to eight years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, soon the court will choose a preventive measure for the detainee.
