In Lviv, law enforcement officers informed a foreigner on suspicion of facilitating the illegal transportation of men abroad

It was established that for 6,000 US dollars, a 43-year-old foreigner temporarily living in Lviv undertook to prepare for “clients” – conscripted citizens of Ukraine, fictitious documents on the definition of the disability group, which gave them the opportunity to leave the country during the period of martial law state, and also advised “evaders” on “correct” behavior when crossing the state border.

The perpetrator was exposed by the investigators of the general criminal investigation department of the investigative department of the police of the Lviv region together with operatives of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region, under the procedural guidance of the specialized prosecutor’s office in the field of defense of the Western region.

Law enforcement officers detained a foreigner in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine in Lviv while he was receiving part of the stipulated amount of funds from one of the “clients”.

During the authorized searches, draft records, copies of documents of Ukrainian citizens who intended to use his “services”, funds obtained from illegal activities and other physical evidence were discovered and seized from the detainee.

Investigators informed the attacker of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 3 of Article 332 (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a period of seven to nine years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with confiscation of property.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
